Founder, House of Nikki

House of Nikki started the way most good things do — with someone who couldn’t stop noticing the gap between what she wanted to wear and what was actually out there.

Nikitha is an engineer by training (Malla Reddy Engineering College) and spent years at Amazon auditing customer experience — which, if you think about it, is basically training for obsessing over every little detail a customer touches. Turns out that instinct doesn’t switch off. It just found a new outlet: ethnic wear.

She grew up in Hyderabad surrounded by handloom and heritage, but kept hitting the same wall so many working women know too well — pieces that were either “too traditional for the office” or “too plain for anything else.” So she decided to build the thing she couldn’t find: sarees, kurtis, and co-ords that move as easily from a Monday morning meeting to a Saturday family function, without asking you to own two different wardrobes.

“Would she wear it? If the answer’s yes, it makes the cut.”

What started as a passion project is now a growing, family-run label — with her husband, a cybersecurity specialist and IIM Lucknow graduate, quietly handling the numbers and the pieces she’d rather not think about, so she can stay focused on what she loves: the fabric, the fit, and the story every piece tells.

We’re based in Hyderabad, city of pearls and — in our very biased opinion — some of the finest handloom traditions in the country. Every piece we send out, whether it’s a saree, a kurti, or a co-ord set, carries a little of that spirit with it.
